ZorgTalent Lab – Introducing Young People to Careers in Healthcare Through Play
Commissioned by AZ Herentals, Mind the View developed the ZorgTalent Lab: an innovative and educational platform that immerses young people in the world of healthcare in an interactive and playful way. Through engaging escape rooms, videos, and quizzes, children learn how a hospital operates and get introduced to a wide range of healthcare professions.

The ZorgTalent Lab combines immersive storytelling, 3D animation, video, and interactive technology to bring complex topics to life in an accessible way.
On a large touchscreen, young people follow a virtual healthcare journey filled with fun challenges. They not only discover the work of doctors and nurses but also get introduced to lesser-known roles such as physiotherapists, laboratory technicians, and logistics staff.
The ZorgTalent Lab is designed for students of all ages, with the aim not only to inform but also to inspire — and in doing so, to spark interest in the healthcare sector of tomorrow.

How does the ZorgLab work?
We combine interactive technology with a strong visual language. In this way, we make a complex story understandable for children—that is the core of this project. Mind the View was responsible for the programming and design of the ZorgTalent Lab, which runs 24/7. Thanks to a 98-inch screen, an entire class can easily follow every step on the large display, while a smaller group of students controls the main screen via a tablet. The large screen, the technology, and the storytelling together create an immersive experience.
From interview to implementation – all under one roof
The entire production of the ZorgTalent Lab was carried out in-house by Mind the View, in close collaboration with the team at AZ Herentals. More than twenty healthcare professionals – from surgeons and dietitians to reception staff – were interviewed. Their personal stories formed the foundation for a compelling narrative that both engages and informs young people.
In addition, Mind the View was responsible for the entire creative and technical process: from the development of the digital escape rooms and the design of all visual elements to the technical integration on site.
With the ZorgTalent Lab, Mind the View and AZ Herentals demonstrate how creative technology and empathetic communication can reinforce each other—not only within the healthcare sector but also in other fields where interaction and storytelling make a difference.
